Founder

Perry Warren

Perry Warren is the founder of the Athletic Supporters Foundation, which has sponsored hundreds of young men from Oklahoma and abroad since 2007 to play competitive baseball for the Southwest Shockers. The mission of this non-profit organization is to develop the character of young adults while helping them accomplish their goal of playing sports at the next level. Perry originally started this program to aid his son, Blake, and his friends and has continued that legacy since. Under Perry’s leadership and guidance the last fifteen years, the Shockers have prepared many players to compete at the collegiate level. In 2022, the Athletic Supporters Foundation restarted the Southwest Shockers competitive softball team, as Perry believes in using sports to teach young adults the values of responsibility, teamwork, perseverance, and humility.

In order to support the players, Perry asks four important questions to each player. He believes these are universal questions that the players can use for the rest of their lives to determine their motivation and their goals in their future endeavors.

2. What do you want to accomplish - through playing the game of baseball?

3. How do your teammates say you play the game?

4. How do you want to be remembered as a - player by those who watched you play?

Born in the small community of Brinkman, Oklahoma, Perry grew up on his family farm that is still run by his mother and son today. He is a proud graduate of Granite High School and Oklahoma State University, where he double majored in agricultural economics and accounting, earning an Agricultural degree. Perry has worked in the financial services industry for over 27 years, currently employed as Financial Advisor and Senior Portfolio Management Director with The Orchard Group at Morgan Stanley in Lawton, OK. Perry and his wife, Kim, have two grown children, Blake and his wife, Tessa, and Taylor, and two grandchildren, Ryker and Madilyn.
